Gate Posts
Items in this section of the catalog are for individual purchase. If you are looking to erect an entire fence enclosure, please visit the Jerith Fence section.
- 2" Heavy Duty Gate End Post

Two gate posts are required for all gates because the inside walls of these posts are thicker and stronger than in a standard fence post and will keep gates from sagging over time. A gate post is considered an end post because it only has holes punched on one side for a section of fence to fit inside. Gates do not require holes, as they hang on hinges that are placed on the blank side of the post.

- 2" Heavy Duty Gate Blank Post

All gates require two gate posts because they have thicker inside walls than other fence posts to prevent the gate from sagging over time. When a gate post is used at the end of a line of fence, or holes are not required for a fence section, a blank post should be ordered. Gates do not need holes because they hang on hinges.

- 4" Gate Post (refer to fence style "Notes" for use)

When larger Residential gates are used, 4" gate posts are required to prevent sagging. Unlike smaller posts, these posts can not be punched with holes and use wall mount castings for sections, which are included in the price. Industrial styles also use these posts for smaller gates.
